As of the 2014-2015 academic year, this is a compulsory part of the study choice process at the UvA (after the 'Open days', 'Taster days' and registration in Studielink), intended to help students choose the most suitable study programme.
UvA Matching involves the student attending a lecture, preparing the necessary material at home and doing a test to see if the choice meets the student's expectations. This is followed by (non-binding) personal advice regarding the choice of study.
